 Maria Costabile with his husband Antonio Cantone for many years dedicates herself passionately to the realization of pastoral figures inspired to the most famous and important "pieces" of the eighteenth century Neapolitan.
Maria inherits this art from his father, Nunzio, wise and refined implementer of accessories for cribs. She has reached, in just over 15 years, a rare sensitivity for the design and implementation of presepialis figures capturing the curiosity of experts and collectors, both in Italy and abroad.
During the many and distinguished "exhibitions presepialis" Maria has gotten the widest consensus from the most demanding critic and from the lovers of this art that is innate in this young artist.
“Our shop, since 1960, is inspired to the pastors of the eighteenth century Neapolitan both for the choice of materials (terracotta, wood, oil painting, glass eyes, etc.) and for fabrics ranging from the most precious silks to the damasks of San Leucio.
Our production covers classical presepials figures as angels, cherubs, baby Jesus, holy family, animals, pastors, etc. and stenographic elements as ruins, cribs, etc.”
On demand, is possible realize pastors at personalized size with dresses made by antique fabrics worked entirely by hand, statues at human-size for churches and saints for bells.
